How To Manage Your Time Efficiently While “Working from Home”

Since there is an increase of approximately 25 percent per year of people working from home in an online business I really want to relay this information to you. it is important to manage your time in order to succeed with your work at home career.

I am an owner of MyInternetBusiness and I belong to the top mentoring team called Mentors4U and I believe it is important for you to understand that your time is very valuable and that money is time and that time is money, so use your time wisely and efficiently.

Stay on track, do the tasks that really make your production count and watch your profits increase from your work at home business!

Write down all the tasks needed to succeed in your work at home business and then make a daily schedule indicating how long you will spend on each task and what days you will complete them. For example if you need to make ten calls a day to prospects interested in your work at home business and it takes you an hour to make the calls put it in your schedule that monday-friday from 4pm-5pm you will dedicate to calling your prospects and consistenly do it. Or if you need to write a blog about yourself or your business, so you can establish an online business presence, and you need to do it 3 different days a week and it takes you one hour to blog then plan it in your scedule. In your schedule dedicate Monday Wednesday and Friday from 3pm-4pm blogging. Please remember to include a 30 minute lunch in there and about 2 fifteen minute breaks as well so you can get something in your stomach, stretch and then when you come back to work you are able to focus better on your work at home business. It really does help.

If you are finding that you are running crazy around the house or running errands alot include those in your schedule as well. For example if you have to go to the post office, the bank and grocery shopping.. plan on doing them all in one day one right after the other… this way you will save time and money by doing it once per week.

Another thing that is a time saver is make use of a voice mail system. This way you aren’t constantly answering the phone and taking time away from your scheduled tasks in order to succeed with your online business. Schedule a certain time of the day to answer your voice mail, take calls and return calls. Tell your loved ones not to call you during your work at home hours unless it is an emergency. This will also save you alot of your valuable time.

Also know when to quit for the day. Don’t work yourself too hard every day and then get burned out. You need to have a balance between your work at home business and your family life.

Here is an example of a schedule: Now remember this is only an example and I only did it for one day. When you make your schedule make sure it is for five or six days of the week. Tailor yours the way it will work for you! You may be more of a morning or afternoon person, whichever part of the day you can devote to your work at home business just do it consistently on a daily basis.

Mondays
(run errands)
8am bank
9am grocery
9:45am break
10am tasks
11am check emails
Noon lunch
1:00pm task
2pm task
2:45 break
3pm blog
4pm calls
5pm done working

In closing, you will make money working from home by effectively managing your time by sticking to your work schedule.
